There are three separate time slots for diving participation in order to include all interested divers and to accommodate different ability levels. There will be no diving lessons other than private lessons.
The beginner and intermediate divers will all practice with the diving team, but there is no pressure or requirement to compete in meets. The advanced level is geared toward those divers who will be competing on a regular basis with the Skyline diving team. Beginners will practice from 9:45 to 10:30 am; Intermediate divers will practice from 10:30 to 11:15am; Advanced divers will practice from 11:15 to Noon. Skyline members of the Skyline Diving team will no longer be registering with USA Diving. If anyone has registered with USA diving, they should get a refund, because USA Diving no longer accepts the Metro League.
We will now be registering with AAU Diving – this membership provides insurance coverage for our divers and is REQUIRED.
To join AAU Diving, Go to the AAU Diving Website at diving.aausports.org. Click on "join AAU," Then choose ATHLETE MEMBERSHIP. You will then be asked to enter information. Enter what you can and then choose "youth program" where it says program. Choose "Diving" where it says sport. Choose the extended coverage membership which is $14.00 under Membership category. Then enter the club code XTFXET in the space provided for club code. Submit and continue. |
