President's Letter

January 2013

Dear Skyline Members,

Skyline’s Annual Meeting was held in November 2012.  We bid a farewell with a hearty thank you to the outgoing board members and voted in the slate of new board members.  Again, many thanks to the board members who served during the last three to four years: Rocky Pearson, David Tinucci, Jeffra Frank, Erin Mann, and Bob Sullivan. Please welcome the following incoming board members: Conn Flanigan, Michael Vanderbosch, Jane Gonella, Jordan Campbell, and Stephanie Rodeno.  The board is a fun, hard working group of Skyline members dedicated to making it the best club possible.

At the November Board meeting, Skyline’s budget was approved for 2013.  The annual dues were increased to $800.  The increases in dues over the last few years have been part of a process to move the club to a stronger fiscal position. With this recent increase, our annual dues and fees will provide sufficient funds to cover the essential costs of operating the club, as stipulated in the club’s bylaws. This includes costs incurred for necessary maintenance and improvements.

Annual dues need to be paid by Friday, March 1stA $120 late fee will be applied to all dues postmarked or confirmed on PayPal after March 1, 2013, and memberships will be terminated if no payment is received by April 1, 2013.

Skyline has these deadlines so our bank account can be replenished to pay ongoing bills. This also allows us to begin contacting families on the wait list so they may become new members before Opening Day, Saturday, May 25th.

Please contact the membership committee, Kathleen Allstetter, Margaret Tezak, or Erin Saboe Willoughby, if you have questions about your dues payment or if you plan to discontinue your membership. They can be reached at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or 720-515-7591.

Paperless Dues Statement and PayPal - An email was sent in December inviting you to opt in for paperless annual dues statement. Also, members will be given the option to pay their 2013 annual dues vy credit card via PayPal!  Details will be included on the upcoming 2013 Dues Statement. Online payments will open January 22nd. See the members area for more details.

Spring Clean Up Day – Sunday, May 19th - We need members to help with a variety of jobs around the club so that we are ready for opening day.  Your help saves on expenses for the club and you earn guest passes.

Tennis Lights - In October, the board approved installation of lights on the three tennis courts closest to the pool area.  Work on the lights began in December and will continue as weather permits during the spring.  Many people have been involved in the effort to bring lights to these courts over a number of years.  I would like to specifically thank Paul Wuthrich for the time and energy he’s dedicated to make this happen.

Information about Skyline events, details, and various teams will be posted here on the website. In the meantime, our Board and club manager, Chris Loftis, will be preparing for another wonderful summer at Skyline.

Happy New Year!

Todd Young

Board President
