TENNIS DIRECTOR

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tennis Director to lead our tennis program. This is a seasonal position (April through September) with the possibility of spring programming beginning March. The Tennis Director will personally provide instruction while also directing program operations and supervising assistant tennis professionals. This position reports to the Club Manager and works collaboratively with the Tennis Committee. The ideal candidate is committed to building a multi-year relationship with Skyline. Contracts are typically renewed annually based on mutual satisfaction and performance. We welcome ideas for expanding programming while maintaining court availability for members.

Key Responsibilities:  
  Program Leadership and Instruction:
  • Deliver high-quality tennis instruction to members of all ages and skill levels, including private and semi-private lessons

  • Oversee and coordinate existing tennis programs developed by assistant professionals

  • Staff, recruit for, and manage Skyline’s three junior summer tennis programs (ages 4-12)

  • Conduct weekly adult drills and/or clinics focusing on skill development and match play

  • In coordination with Club Manager and Tennis Committee, develop and offer specialty stroke and strategy clinics

  • Support USTA and CTA league teams (men 3.0-4.5, women 2.5-4.0) with clinic/lesson opportunities
     

  USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT):
  • Organize and manage the club’s USTA Junior Team Tennis program, including home and away matches

  • Ensure quality instruction and ongoing communication with families throughout the season

  Staff Coordination: 
  • Hire and manage all tennis staff, including assistant professionals and junior instructors

  • Coordinate scheduling with assistant tennis professionals

  • Ensure consistent quality standards across all instruction

  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, and tennis committee

  Operations & Communication: 
  • Enter and manage all relevant tennis programming and court reservations in the club management system (Club Automation/Pool Dues)

  • Collaborate with the Tennis Committee on program communications and annual social events

  • Attend Skyline Board Meetings as needed

  • Provide regular updates to Club Manager on program status and member feedback

Required Qualifications: 
  • USPTA or PTR certified (including Safe Play compliance)

  • Minimum 5 years of tennis teaching experience

  • Experience with junior development programs

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with club management and volunteer committees

  • Must pass background check

  • Significant on-site presence required, especially during peak summer months (June-August), including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing USTA Junior Team Tennis programs

  • Familiarity with USTA/CTA league structures

  • Experience at a private club or similar membership-based facility

  • College playing experience or competitive tournament background

Compensation:

Seasonal compensation ranges from $50,000 to $70,000, with potential to exceed based on experience, programming volume, and performance bonus.

TENNIS PROFESSIONAL

Description: 

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Tennis Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tennis and a strong desire to help players of all levels improve their skills and enjoy the game. This is a seasonal full-time position or part time position with competitive compensation.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality tennis instruction to players of all ages and skill levels, including private lessons, group clinics, and team practices.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans and training programs that are tailored to the needs and goals of each individual player.

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with all players and staff members, and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment.

  • Assist with organizing and running tournaments, events, and other activities to promote tennis and engage the community.

  • Help maintain the tennis facilities and equipment, including cleaning, organizing, and repairing as needed.

  • Teach lessons to adults and juniors ages 4-80. 
     

 

Qualifications:

  • Competitive playing experience.

  • 1-2+ years of teaching experience in a tennis club or similar setting.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Passion for tennis and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Swim Opportunities

ASSISTANT SYNCHRO COACH

​Description:

The Assistant Coaches support the Head Coach in leading our synchronized swimming program for participants ages 6–19.

 

Responsibilities:

Include assisting with practices, helping teach technique and choreography, and providing individual attention to swimmers. Assistant Coaches also help with music and audio equipment, and support event preparation such as makeup, costumes, and meet-day logistics. This role is hands-on in the water to ensure swimmers feel engaged, safe, and motivated.

 

Additional Duties: 

Include setup, supervision during events, and supporting communication with families as needed. Previous synchronized swimming, coaching, or aquatics experience is preferred, along with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
