We are in the process of revising our swim lesson program for the 2023 season. Please check back in April for updated information.

NEW Stroke Clinics!

If your child is an intermediate to advanced swimmer, but is looking to fine-tune his/her swimming technique and learn how to be more efficient in the water, then consider enrolling in our weekly stroke clinics. These clinics are 45 minutes long and have a maximum student:instructor ratio of 8:1. Swimmers will be grouped based on age and/or swimming ability. The first 15 minutes will consist of video/dryland work consistent with the week’s focus and the last 30 minutes will be conducted in the water to practice the skills learned on deck. These clinics offer the following: physical conditioning to build strength and stamina, stroke refinement to prevent bad habits, advanced skills that are beyond basic swimming, and intensive instruction where students are given 1-on-1 critique and guidance. These clinics are led by the aquatics director, head swim coach, and head associate coach.

NEW Longer Sessions!

Learning to swim uses muscles in new ways, and requires the development of new neural pathways involved in motor skill acquisition and coordination. The best way to establish and strengthen these new pathways is to reinforce learning through refinement and repetition. Longer sessions will enable instructors to focus on strong technique, and allow greater repetition of new skills, helping swimmers to build muscle memory of new body positions and strokes, build endurance (important for water safety), and build social and communication skills.

Preschool Aquatics (children ages 3 – 5)

In these classes, beginning swimmers learn personal water safety and basic swimming skills such as underwater exploration, front and back floats, gliding, and basic locomotion.

Class size will be limited to 4 swimmers per instructor.
